How does general anesthesia work?

Under general anesthesia the patient´s waking state as well as the perception of pain are switched off completely.

The general anesthesia is carried out according to the newest scientific level of knowledge, we work with the most modern, very gentle anesthetic medications, which allow to almost completely exclude side effects like the feeling of nausea and confusion. The patient is supplied with the medications necessary for a general anesthesia via the venous and the pulmonary system. The anesthetics have an influence on central nervous system switching off nervous reactions like the gag reflex and the pain perception due to loss of perception of consciousness and memory.

Our modern anesthetics require no long stay in our clinic, you will be able to go home independently one to two hours after the treatment.
